Is it permissible to name a girl "Aris" or "Eris"? And are these two names of Arabic origin?

There is no objection to naming someone "Aris," as it means "origin" or "the farmer" (one who works in agriculture). It is also the name of a well-known well near Quba in Medina. The word was mentioned in the Prophet's (peace and blessings be upon him) letter to Heraclius: "And if you turn away, then upon you is the sin of the Arisiyyin." It was said that they were his servants and followers, and it was also said that Aris was the name of their leader.
