What are the consequences for someone who vowed not to speak to a person, then spoke to them and reconciled with them?

If a person vows to shun another for more than three days, this is a vow of disobedience (nadhir maʿṣiyah), based on the Prophet’s (peace be upon him) saying: “It is not permissible for a Muslim to shun his brother for more than three nights.” The majority of scholars hold that a vow of disobedience does not necessitate anything except repentance. Some, however, are of the view that it necessitates expiation for an oath (kaffārat yamīn).
