What is the ruling on sewing women's clothing and what are its conditions?

A woman's work in tailoring clothes is permissible, unless it involves a forbidden act, such as sewing clothes for ostentation (tabarruj), fame, or what is characteristic of disbelievers and wicked women. As for what is used for both permissible and forbidden purposes, it is permissible to sew it, except for someone who knows that it will be used in a forbidden way.
