The prayer of a disobedient person who persists in their disobedience is acceptable, unless the disobedience is an act of disbelief (kufr), or there is a religious text stating that the prayer of the one who commits it is not accepted, such as going to a soothsayer, drinking alcohol, a slave fleeing from his master, or leading people in prayer when they dislike him. For these individuals, the obligation to pray is lifted if they perform it, but they are not rewarded for it, nor is it repeated for them.
