Is the failure to possess a driver's license or a job, and the resulting distress for the mother, considered an act of disobedience towards her, knowing that the son is dutiful and loves her?

Filial piety is one of the greatest acts of drawing closer to Allah, especially towards the mother, as stated in the Hadith, "Your mother, then your mother, then your mother, then your father." Among the most prominent meanings of piety is striving for their contentment and bringing joy to them. The Prophet (peace be upon him) sent back a man who intended to emigrate and leave his parents weeping, ordering him to return to them and make them laugh. If the mother is asking her son to work, there is benefit and good for him in that, and the Prophet (peace be upon him) praised work earned by one's own hand. Therefore, the son must strive to work to remove sadness from his mother and make her happy.
