Similarly, brown or yellowish discharges connected to it, whether at its beginning or end, or during the habitual period, take the ruling of menstruation. As for brown or yellowish discharges after purification, they are not considered anything and take the ruling of Istihadah (non-menstrual vaginal bleeding), and do not prevent prayer or fasting. If menstruation becomes irregular and you are unable to distinguish between menstrual blood and other types of blood, then set the duration of menstruation at seven days at the time it used to occur before the irregularity.
