What is the meaning of Adam and Eve's sin, and have we inherited their nature or has sin or guilt reached us because of them?

Adam and Eve's disobedience was due to the whispers of Satan, and they repented sincerely, and "one who repents of sin is like one who has no sin." We are not blamed for their mistake, nor do we inherit it, for each person is held accountable only for their own sins. Moreover, Adam prevailed over Moses in argument when the latter blamed him for his and his offspring's expulsion from Paradise, justifying it by God's decree and destiny. This is contrary to what the followers of the distorted Gospel claim, that Christ was crucified as atonement for Adam's sin.
