Is performing the Sunrise Prayer obligatory?

Ishraq prayer consists of two rak'ahs, performed after the sun has risen and ascended by the measure of a spear, for one who prayed Fajr in congregation and then remained engaged in the remembrance of Allah until this time. A weak hadith, which some scholars have deemed hasan (good), mentions its virtue, stating that whoever does so is as if they performed a complete Hajj and Umrah. This prayer is supererogatory (recommended) and not obligatory, and it is considered part of the Duha prayer, the time for which begins from the sun's ascension until just before Zawwal (midday).
