We must thank Allah for His blessings by using them in ways that please Him. What displeases Allah is using one's hearing and sight to watch and listen to forbidden things. What pleases Allah is using them to listen to the Qur'an, Hadith, religious lessons, and purposeful Islamic songs. A Muslim must obey Allah's commands and avoid His prohibitions. Among the forbidden things is listening to music and immoral singing. This can be substituted by listening to the Qur'an, lessons, and Islamic songs available on specialized Islamic websites. It is advisable not to overuse the internet and computers so that they do not distract one from reflecting on the Book of Allah and seeking knowledge.
