If a divorce occurs and the husband takes his wife back by saying: "I have taken you back," before the completion of the third menstrual period, then if the 'aqra' (waiting periods) are calculated by menstruation, the return is valid as long as this divorce is not the completion of three divorces. However, if the 'aqra' are calculated by purity, then the waiting period ends upon seeing the first blood of the third menstruation, and the return is not valid. The wife leaving her husband's house without his permission is an act of disobedience.
