A woman must cover her face from non- men. It is not permissible for a father to order his daughter to uncover her face, because there is no obedience to a creature in disobedience to the Creator, as the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "There is no obedience in disobedience; obedience is only in what is good." However, if wearing the niqab results in harm or injury, it is permissible to abandon it, due to the Almighty's saying: "So fear Allah as much as you are able," and His saying: "Allah does not burden a soul beyond its capacity."
