What is the ruling on selling digital services to clients while outsourcing the work to be done?

It is permissible to engage in "drop service" if the service itself is permissible, and if the seller is not stipulated to perform the work himself. This is permissible, similar to parallel ijarah (leasing/hiring) and istisna' (manufacturing contract), where one can hire others to perform the work and profit from the difference in wages, unless the purpose of the service varies with the performer, as in the case of handwriting quality in transcription.
