Is the wife entitled to prevent her husband from taking their two daughters to visit their grandmother in another country, knowing that she cannot bear to be parted from them, and that their grandmother can come to visit them, and that her husband was aware of the circumstances preventing his family's travel, and that the travel period may extend to a month?

A wife should not object to her husband taking their children to visit their grandparents, for grandparents have a right to see their grandchildren. Allah has referred to the grandfather as a father, as He says concerning Yusuf (Joseph): "And I have followed the religion of my fathers, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob." The wife should be patient and seek her reward from Allah as long as she is prevented from traveling to visit her husband's family.
