Is it permissible to pray with the sleeves of one's shirt rolled up?

The prayer performed with rolled-up sleeves is valid, however, it is disliked for the worshiper to roll up his garment, due to the prohibition of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, who said: "We have been commanded to prostrate on seven bones and not to gather our clothes or hair." The majority of scholars hold that this prohibition signifies a dislike (karāhah), and the prayer remains valid despite it.
