Is it permissible to donate organs without the knowledge and consent of one's parents, knowing that they would refuse?

The Council of the Islamic Fiqh Academy has approved the permissibility of taking an organ from a living human being and transplanting it into another human being in dire need of it to save their life or restore a fundamental function, provided certain conditions are met: that it does not harm the donor, that the donation is voluntary, that transplantation is the only medical means available, and that the success of both the extraction and transplantation procedures is assured or highly probable. The donor must also be an adult and of sound mind. Donation is not permissible if it goes against the parents' command, because obedience to them is obligatory unless it conflicts with Islamic law.
