Is it permissible to shave the beard before performing ghusl (ritual bath) after janabah (state of ritual impurity)?

It is not permissible to shave the beard before or after performing ghusl (definition) for janabah (definition). It is permissible for a person in a state of janabah to shave hair that is permissible to shave, such as head hair, and they are not required to leave it until they perform ghusl. The beard, like other hair, must be run through with water during ghusl for janabah so that water reaches the skin. This is not obligatory during wudu if the beard is thick; in that case, it is sufficient to wash its outer surface. However, a thin beard must be run through with water during wudu, unlike a thick one, and it must be run through with water during ghusl, even if it is thick.
