Why does a child feel stomach pain and a lack of desire to eat when reminded of prayer or the Quran, and a sore throat when forced to pray?
What is afflicting you is a whisper from Satan, so you must seek refuge from him and his cunning, and use (Islamic exorcism). Prayer is obligatory only upon the mature and sane. It is not obligatory upon one who has not reached puberty, but it is incumbent upon his guardian to command him to pray when he reaches seven years of age. And if he reaches ten and does not regularly pray, he should be lightly beaten for abandoning it, according to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him: "Command your children to pray when they are seven years old, and beat them for it when they are ten years old, and separate them in beds." The young man who grows up worshipping Allah is one of the seven whom Allah will shade with His shade on a day when there is no shade but His.
