What is the ruling on students standing up when the teacher enters, out of reverence for knowledge and in accordance with His, the Almighty’s, saying: "Recite in the name of your Lord who created"?

It is not permissible for a teacher to order students to stand up for him, due to the prohibition of the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, against that. In the Hadith: "Whoever loves that men stand up for him, let him take his seat in the Hellfire." As for students standing up for the teacher of their own accord, scholars have differed on this; some of them considered it commendable, citing the Hadith: "Stand up for your master," while others disliked it, citing the Hadith of Anas: "There was no person more beloved to them than the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, yet when they saw him, they would not stand up, knowing his dislike for that." The Sunnah is not to stand up for teachers when they enter upon students.
