Is it permissible for a woman in childbirth to touch and read the Qur’an for worship while wearing clothes that have impurities on them?

It is permissible for a woman who is not in a state of major ritual impurity (junub) to recite the Quran. Touching the Mushaf (definition) (physical copy of the Quran) requires ritual purity from both minor and major impurities, and recitation is disliked if there is impurity on the clothes or body. A menstruating woman is not permitted to touch the Mushaf. It is befitting for one who recites the Quran to have a pure body, clothes, and place, out of reverence for the Book of Allah.
