Is it permissible to wear socks on a prosthetic limb during Umrah ihram for the purpose of protecting it and diverting attention, while the sound leg remains uncovered?

There is no harm in wearing a sock on a prosthetic leg during the ihram for Umrah or Hajj, and no fidyah (expiation) is required, as long as it does not cover any part of the body. However, if it covers any part of the body, such as the tip of the shin or the knee, then fidyah is required. The fidyah is: fasting for three days, or feeding six poor people, or sacrificing a sheep.
