Is it permissible for the children of a man who only prays Friday prayers to perform Hajj on his behalf, give charity, or supplicate for him?

Muslims have unanimously agreed on the obligation of prayer for every sane, adult Muslim. It is a physical act of worship that does not accept proxy, and it is the greatest pillar of Islam after the Two Testimonies of Faith. Whoever denies its obligation is an apostate disbeliever. As for one who abandons it out of negligence, the majority of imams hold that he should be asked to repent; if he repents, well and good, otherwise he is killed. He is killed as a legal punishment (حدًا) according to the Malikis and Shafi’is, and as an act of disbelief (كفرًا) according to the Hanbalis. Sound evidence supports the disbelief of one who abandons prayer, such as the hadith (definition): "Between a person and disbelief is the abandonment of prayer," and the hadith of Buraydah: "The covenant between us and them is prayer; whoever abandons it has disbelieved."
