The woman's guardians do not have the right to prevent her from returning to her husband, especially if she is still within her 'iddah (definition) (waiting period), based on the verse: "And when you divorce women and they have fulfilled their term, do not prevent them." If her 'iddah has expired, she cannot return except with a new contract under the guardianship of her guardians. If they refuse, she should refer her case to the Sharia (definition) judge to have him marry her to the man.
