Is it permissible for a husband to compel his wife to return to the marital home through court, despite her refusal and her mother's threat to disown her if she returns?

It is impermissible for the wife to obey her mother in committing nushuz (rebellion/disobedience) and demanding divorce. What the mother is doing is an forbidden act of incitement (takhbib). It is permissible to take the matter to court and file a complaint against her. The mother's threat to her daughter does not permit the wife to refuse her husband and demand divorce, for obedience to the husband in what is right is more obligatory than obedience to parents. This should be clarified to the wife, and the assistance of scholars and righteous people should be sought to admonish both the mother and the wife.
