Will a person be held accountable for designing clothes for veiled women that are tight at the waist, loose at the top and bottom, and in striking colors? Will the colors be accounted for? And what types of clothes will their designer not be held accountable for?

Women's clothing designed for going out in front of non-mahram men must adhere to শরীʿআ (Islamic law) guidelines, such as being modest (covering the ʿawrah), loose-fitting, thick, and not adorned in a way that attracts attention. There is no specific color required for it. It is not permissible to design or sell clothing that does not meet these conditions, as this constitutes cooperation in sin. The sale of anything whose use is forbidden is also forbidden, as stated in the verse: "And do not cooperate in sin and aggression" (Al-Ma'idah: 5:2). As for women's clothing not intended for going out, such as loungewear, it does not require the same conditions as the Shar'i hijab. It is permissible to design and sell such clothing, except to those known to use it to display themselves immodestly in front of non-mahram men.
