Will a person be held accountable for prayers between the ages of seven and puberty, or must they be made up until the age of 18, and is it considered a debt upon them if they are not made up?

Legal obligations are not binding on a child before puberty, for the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "The pen is lifted from three: from the child until he reaches puberty."

However, he is commanded to pray at the age of seven and disciplined for it at ten, so that he may become accustomed to prayer and make it a habit.

Once a child reaches puberty, prayer becomes obligatory for him. Whoever abandons prayer after puberty must make it up, and commits a grave sin if he abandons it intentionally.
