What is the ruling on a wife's obedience to her lying husband?

A wife must obey her husband in what is right and lawful, based on the prophetic narrations that command this. However, this does not mean obeying him in lying or abandoning prayer. If the husband does not completely abandon prayer, then it is not permissible for the wife to disobey his command; rather, she must obey him in what is right, advise him, remind him of God’s commands, and she can seek help from righteous and knowledgeable people. If he insists on his sins and the wife is harmed by that, then it is permissible for her to seek a divorce.
