What is the Sharia position on a young man whose parents cut him off because he objected to what his father, a dayyuth, did?

It is not permissible for a son to boycott his parents or abandon them, no matter how badly they have treated him. Indeed, this is among the worst forms of disobedience. He must advise them gently and courteously if they commit a wrong, while avoiding argumentation and raising his voice. Abandoning parents or harming them through word or deed is forbidden by Islamic law. A father marrying off his daughters in secret is not a reprehensible act if two witnesses are present and it is not a secret marriage that is prohibited. The son must maintain ties with his parents, show affection towards them, and pray for their guidance.
