We must be vigilant when receiving news, verify its sources, and avoid transmitting what we believe to be false. Lying in war does not justify misleading Muslims; rather, it is reserved for misleading enemies only. Moreover, losing a battle does not mean losing truthfulness, which is the foundation of our dealings, for whoever is accustomed to lying loses people's trust. Lying is an abomination forbidden by Islam, and fabricating rumors does not solve a psychological or real problem; rather, it increases the magnitude of losses. Acknowledging the truth is the first step in resolving crises, and we must enlighten those who transmit such news in good faith.
