The Almighty says, describing the state of the pious in Paradise: "But those who feared their Lord - for them are chambers, above them chambers built, beneath which rivers flow. [This is] the promise of Allah, and Allah does not break the promise." These chambers are stories upon stories, firmly built, adorned, and elevated. Their outer parts can be seen from within, and their inner parts from without. From their height, one can see as one sees a faint star in the distant horizon, and their mortar is fragrant musk. Beneath them flow rivers, and this adds to their beauty and enhances their splendor.
