Pre-seminal fluid (madhiy): This is a thin, white fluid that is discharged at the onset of pleasure. It is impure (najis) and invalidates ablution (wudu') by consensus. It is purified by washing or by sprinkling water (nadh). Washing is more precautionary unless it is excessive and difficult, in which case sprinkling water suffices. A man must wash his penis, and a woman must wash her vulva if it reaches its external part. The ruling for pre-seminal fluid for both men and women is the same in terms of its impurity, invalidating ablution, and rendering whatever it touches impure. If its location is not clear, all doubtful areas must be purified.
