Is it permissible for a person who swears frequently to make any oath he utters conditional upon his permission, so that its meaning becomes, "Unless I agree and permit"?

A Muslim should not swear excessively, and should be characterized by forbearance and avoidance of the causes of anger. As for a man's statement to his wife: "If I always tell you, by Allah, do not go to your mother," if he intended it as an exception to future oaths, it will not benefit him because the exception precedes the oath. An exception is only valid under certain conditions, including that it must be directly connected to the oath, or separated by an unavoidable impediment. However, if his intention was to restrict the oath to his consent, then this intention specifies his oath. If this intention was not present, then the reason that led him to swear takes its place, and he will not be considered to have broken his oath.
