What is the ruling on secretly taking food from one's brother's or sister's house without their knowledge?

It is permissible to eat from your brother's house if he allows it, based on the verse: "Nor yourselves, that you eat from your houses... or the houses of your brothers." However, if he does not allow it, then it is not permissible, based on the Prophet's (peace be upon him) saying: "The property of a Muslim is not lawful except with his willing consent."
