The life of Jesus (peace be upon him) passed through four stages:

1. Birth: He was born in Bethlehem to a mother without a father, demonstrating the perfection of God's power. God honored his mother with water and fresh dates, and despite the miracle of his speaking, the Jews accused him. 2. Mission as a Messenger: He was granted miracles such as raising the dead and healing the blind and the leper, which led the Jews to plot against him. He lived inviting people to God, and the disciples believed in him. 3. Ascension to Heaven: The Jews wanted to crucify him, but God saved him from them by casting his likeness upon one of them and raising Jesus himself to Him. The term "tawaffa" here means sleep. 4. Descent to Earth: God did not cause him to die a physical death. He will descend near the Hour as a just ruler, following the religion of Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), and he will kill the swine, break the cross, and slay the Dajjal (Antichrist).
