Is it permissible to gather adhkar—such as "one hundred thousand prayers upon the Prophet" or "Lā ilāha illallāh" (There is no god but Allah)—or to recite the Qur'an—such as Surah Yasin one hundred times—and then distribute the reward among a group of people with the intention of relieving distress or curing a sick person?

It is prescribed for a Muslim to supplicate for his brother in secret, such as supplicating for the sick for healing, and for the distressed for the removal of their distress. The supplication of a Muslim for his brother in secret is answered, and the appointed angel says: "Amen, and to you the like thereof." It has been narrated in a hadith that whoever visits a sick person whose time of death has not yet come, and says seven times: "I ask Allah the Almighty, Lord of the Magnificent Throne, to heal him," will be cured. However, repeating dhikr a specific number of times with the intention of healing or removing distress has not been reported in the Sunnah.
