Regarding his right to demand financial compensation for the injustice inflicted upon him and the damage to his reputation: compensation for imprisonment is a matter of scholarly disagreement. Some scholars hold that compensation is not obligatory merely for imprisonment and prevention from work, while others believe in guaranteeing wages for someone unjustly imprisoned. The latter view is closer to correctness.
