What is the legal rooting for the judge's statement at the opening of a session, "In the name of His Majesty the King," or "In the name of the Republic," or "In the name of the People"?

The statement of one who says, "In the name of the President," or "In the name of the people," and so forth, if it is intended for seeking blessings and assistance, then it is Shirk (polytheism) that may reach the level of major Shirk. However, if it is intended to mean acting on behalf of the speaker in his name, then it is permissible. The Permanent Committee has issued a Fatwa to this effect, as has Sheikh Al-Uthaymeen, both distinguishing between the intention of seeking blessings and assistance (which is Shirk) and the intention of expression and deputization (which is permissible).
