Does the husband's work in a restaurant that serves alcohol and cuts pork affect the permissibility of his money, knowing that he left this job then returned to it due to the unavailability of an alternative?

Preparing and cooking pork and alcohol is forbidden by Islamic law. The husband must repent of this act and cease it immediately, unless he is compelled, finding no other means to spend on himself and those he supports except through this work. In such a case, he may temporarily remain in his job, provided he diligently searches for another permissible line of work. As for the wife's handling of money earned from this work, reference should be made to the fatwas specifically issued for that matter.
