What is the ruling on aborting a pregnancy resulting from the marriage of a Sunni woman to someone claiming to be a Shiite who insults the Companions and reviles Umm al-Mu'minin Aisha, especially given the father's, the wife's, and her family's rejection of the child?

It is not permissible to abort the pregnancy for the reason mentioned, even if the father orders it, because aborting the fetus is a crime and a major sin unless there is a necessity that threatens the mother's life. The custody of the child is the mother's right unless there is a Sharia impediment. In case of dispute over maintenance or custody, the reference point is the Sharia court.
