What is said, that woman was created from man's rib, is correct. Allah Almighty created Eve from Adam's rib, according to the Almighty's saying: "O mankind, fear your Lord, who created you from one soul and created from it its mate." In the Two Sahihs, it is stated that woman was created from a crooked rib, which confirms that she was created from Adam's rib. Ibn Kathir narrated from Ibn Abbas: "She was created from his left rib while he was standing." This is evidence of Allah's power to create.
