What is the ruling on breaking the state of Ihram before performing Umrah, knowing that I am accompanied by two children with whom I entered into Ihram?
It is not permissible for someone who has entered into for Hajj or ' to exit their ihram until they complete the rituals, unless they are prevented by an overwhelming obstacle. This is based on the Almighty's saying: "And complete the Hajj and 'Umrah for Allah. But if you are prevented, then [offer] what can be obtained with ease of sacrificial animals." As for normal circumstances and emergencies that are expected to pass, it is not permissible for him to exit ihram. He remains in ihram until the circumstance passes, then he completes his rituals. What some of you did, by exiting ihram, is not permissible and does not invalidate the intention of ihram. Rather, he is still in the state of ihram, and what is forbidden for one in ihram is forbidden for him. His second ihram is nullified because he is still in the state of the first ihram.
