What is incumbent upon the 'Aqilah of both parties, and how much is the blood money (Diyya) imposed on the one who caused a car accident leading to death and injury?

If the accident resulted from the fault and transgression of the person who entered with his car, then he bears responsibility for the consequences of the accident, including the blood money (diyya) for those killed and compensation (arsh) for those injured. His 'aqila (male agnates) bear the blood money for those who died and the compensation for those injured if their injury reached one-third of the diyya or more. Anything less than that is paid from the perpetrator's wealth, according to most scholars. There is no blood money for the perpetrator because he was the cause of his own death. There is no blame on your brother if he could not have avoided the accident, based on the principle that whoever does what is permissible for him without transgression or negligence, and harm results from it, is not liable. The original legal blood money is one hundred camels.
