Is it permissible for merchants to compel a consumer to purchase an additional product with an item they need, even if the consumer does not need it?

A merchant selling a desirable item with an undesirable item in a single transaction, conditioned on purchasing both items together, is permissible if the buyer agrees to it. Sheikh Ibn Uthaymeen was asked about the ruling on this type of sale and he permitted it. However, it is not free from exploiting people's needs, and it contradicts the ethics of a Muslim merchant and the noble principles of Islamic law, as the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "May Allah have mercy on a man who is lenient when he sells, when he buys, and when he demands his rights."
