Should a seven-year-old girl be woken up to perform Fajr prayer, taking into account that this might alienate her from prayer?

A father is responsible for raising his children to perform their duties, including prayer. He should command them to pray when they reach seven years of age. This should be done gently, encouraging them with praise and rewards. It is permissible to delay waking a daughter until just before sunrise, while encouraging her to go to bed early. There is no harm in not waking her if waking up is difficult for her due to late sleep or intense cold, and if they are woken, they should pray. As for Ibn Uthaymeen, he holds the view that waking children who have reached ten years of age is obligatory, and for those younger, it is recommended, especially if the weather is temperate.
