Is it permissible to say "peace be upon her" (عليه السلام) for Mary and Eve?

There is no harm in sending greetings of peace upon Eve and Mary. The books of jurists and commentators on hadith are replete with mentions of sending greetings of peace upon them. This has been narrated from some Companions, such as Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her), when the Prophet (peace be upon him) informed her that Fatimah would be the chief of the women of Paradise after Mary (peace be upon her).
