What is the ruling on confirming lineage through scientific methods via the judiciary, in the event of suspicion of the pregnant wife's infidelity and her request for khul' for unconvincing reasons?

The legal way to disavow the paternity of a fetus is through li'an (oath of condemnation), provided that the disavowal is initiated promptly upon becoming aware of the paternity. Delaying it is considered an affirmation of paternity, and disavowal is not permissible after affirmation. It is not permissible, according to Islamic law, to rely on DNA analysis to disavow paternity, nor to prioritize it over li'an. Similarly, it is not permissible to use it to verify the validity of lineages already established by Islamic law, in order to protect people's honor and lineages.
