What is the ruling on mediating between timber sales companies and customers without purchasing the timber, sufficing with receiving orders and directing them to the companies?

The meaning of "wage-selling companies" is not clear, but brokerage or mediation is permissible in Islamic law if it adheres to Sharia guidelines. It is similar to other forms of commission-based work (ja'ala). It must be free from ambiguity and gharar (excessive uncertainty) in the remuneration, and it should not mediate in the sale or purchase of anything prohibited, or in usurious or gambling transactions.
