Is performing ablution (wudu') or ritual bathing (ghusl) with water vapor sufficient to remove minor ritual impurity (hadath) or major ritual impurity (janabah)?

Minor and major ritual impurity are removed by washing with water. Scholars have differed regarding water droplets from steam, whether it is pure water that removes ritual impurity or not. The majority of jurists hold that it is pure and removes ritual impurity and cleanses impurities. The water droplets from the steam must be sufficient to wash the limb intended for washing in Wudu' and the entire body in major ritual purification, as what is required is the flowing of water over the limb, not just dampness or moisture.
