What is the ruling on a man traveling alone for a distance exceeding 100 km, and does this fall under the Hadith: "A traveler is a devil"?

"A man traveling alone is prohibited, and the point of dislike or prohibition—as the scholars have stated—is if the journey is at night or if it is likely to cause harm. However, if the journey is on a safe and well-traveled road, there is no objection to one traveling on it alone."
