Is there a possibility of reconciliation after my father has repeatedly divorced my mother, verbally and explicitly, knowing that each divorce occurred during a period of purity in which he had intercourse with her, and that my father does not change but rather becomes worse?

Most scholars hold that explicit divorce takes effect without the need for an intention. Its occurrence is not prevented by anger that does not incapacitate the mind, or by it occurring during menstruation, or during a period of purity in which intercourse has taken place. Among the issues on which scholars have differed, there is no blame on whoever acts upon one of their sayings, as long as they are confident in the validity of the saying and are not following their whims. If the father frequently utters divorce and swears by it, he is in great danger, as it involves taking the verses of Allah in jest. If the mother doubts the lawfulness of her remaining with her husband, she should consult trustworthy jurisprudential authorities. If they rule that it is unlawful for her to remain, she must separate from him, even if through khulʿ.
