Is it permissible to give charity instead of fasting Ramadan due to an illness that prevents one from taking medication regularly?

If fasting causes severe hardship, or increases illness, or delays healing, then breaking the fast is permissible. If it is possible to take medication between (breaking fast) and (pre-dawn meal), then fasting is obligatory. Otherwise, breaking the fast is permissible. If the illness is expected to be cured, then making up the missed fasts (qada') is obligatory, and feeding the poor (it'am) is not sufficient. However, if the illness is not expected to be cured, then you must feed one poor person for each day, and giving money instead of food is not sufficient.
